The theme for IWD 2022 is break the bias and today the Housing Authority is happy to
celebrate this great occasion where women are fit to lead.
Guest Speaker Dr. Erum Samreen (Head of Raiwaqa Health Centre) was present at the
function and spoke on the importance of women empowerment in the organisation and at
home. Great opportunity for new incoming CEO Mr. Ritesh Sing, Management team and
staff members to celebrate this important day.
Resilience is key as Dr Erum highlighted the hardworking women and front liners that
worked during the pandemic have done such an amazing work. Setting high goals and being
ambitious is important in any organisation and any women can achieve that.
We are all responsible for breaking the bias against women not only in our work place but
ensure that we have an influence on our communities, schools and universities said Dr
Erum.
Dr Erum concluded by saying that if you work hard and set your goals you will be able to
achieve anything.
Ritesh Singh shared the Leadership Team’s aspiration together with: Every Fijian owning a
home equally important is that everyone has a responsibility to take care and respect all
mothers and sisters every day.
