Senior officials from the Vanuatu Government visited Housing Authority to learn how the latter together with its counterpart the Public Rental Board (PRB) are able to provide affordable homes to middle to low income earners in Fiji.
The delegation led by Vanuatu Minister for Finance and Economic Management, Hon. Maki Stanley Simelum was briefed by senior management of both the Authority and PRB on the work they do in the hope of starting a similar venture in their country.
Following the presentations, the Vanuatu delegation were taken on a tour of HA and PRB sites in the Central Division.
With the strengthening of partnership and cooperation between the Melanesian Spearhead Group and its member countries, the Authority is pleased to have provided assistance that would help Vanuatu address its housing challenges.
Mr Simelum’s entourage included Vanuatu Ministry of Finance and Economic Management Director General George Maniuri, Vanuatu National Provident Fund Chairman Simil Johnson, Director Investment Paul Kaun, and Director Corporate Services Hollingsworth Ngwele.
